Required Education: Bachelor's degree, AND:
- 36 months of related experience
Equivalent/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree for a total of 84 months of related experience.
Skills:
- Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English
- Basic math skills
- Ability to accurately read and understand written materials and instructions
- Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Able to produce reports and complete work within deadlines
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong initiative to solve problems.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Access, and Word.
- Experience using social media platforms and online applications such as design apps.
Advertised Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to engage in repetitive motion and sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to communicate effectively, including expressing oneself or exchanging information with others.
- Ability to see, including depth perception, color, and clarity.
- Ability to hear, including perceiving sounds at normal speaking levels and ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
- Ability to bend, lift, carry up to 25 lbs. on an infrequent basis.
- Standard office environment with moderate exposure to periods of stress due to deadlines and busy periods.
- Must be willing to travel overnight twice per year for ~5 days each
Departmental Preferences:
- 12+ months experience in advising, program or academic support.
- 12+ months experience in higher education.
Supervision: The role may help supervise a student employee when the role is filled.
